Quarterly business activities report July to September 2024 released

The Resources Regulator has published its July to September 2024 Quarterly business activities report highlighting its key business activities over the quarter.

Activities include:

  • release of a video regarding entanglement prevention on jumbo drill rigs on the Regulator’s YouTube channel
  • 4 investigation information releases concerning an unplanned explosion, a reclaim tunnel explosion, an underground worker injured by a moving loader bucket, and an underground mine roof fall
  • 2 investigation reports about a loader fire and a serious hand injury to a worker operating a mobile screen
  • 5 safety bulletins about overtaking in mining areas, hand/finger injuries, wheel assemblies detaching from mobile plant, pressurised systems incidents and mobile plant used for pulling create a line of fire hazard
  • 2 safety alerts regarding an underground mine vehicle collision and a longwall face fire
  • 14 fact sheets covering fire and explosion, control plans, roads or other vehicle operating areas, inundation or inrush, mineral claims, psychosocial hazards and workplace bullying.
  • 13 editions of the Weekly Incident Summary
  • 6 editions of Mine Safety News
  • One edition of Exploration and Mining Rehabilitation News (formerly Mine Rehabilitation News).
