The NSW Resources Regulator has released a position paper on hazardous chemicals, following a review of our approach to the regulation of hazardous chemicals at mine and petroleum sites.

We will be strengthening our regulatory and compliance approach towards hazardous chemicals, which will be consistent with that applied to the management of prescribed principal hazards.

We will be actively engaging with mine operators on hazardous chemical risk management onsite and supporting industry meet their obligations under work health and safety laws.
