Safety alerts and bulletins
Safety alerts and bulletins highlight important work health and safety issues identified in the NSW mining industry.
Safety alerts and bulletins are an important communication tool between the Regulator and the NSW mining industry, suppliers, unions and industry organisations.
Safety alerts are issued following the occurrence of an event such as a fatality, dangerous occurrence or any incident that is considered to be of significance to the industry, with the aim of preventing a similar occurrence. The Safety alert will generally relate to an incident and may have been communicated to industry in the first instance via the Weekly Incident Summary.
A Safety bulletin is of a generic nature and is not related to one specific incident. It may be issued following the occurrence of a series of events at NSW mines or workplaces outside NSW, or to highlight particular safety issues considered to be of significance to the mining industry.
