Collision avoidance events coming soon

Together with the NSW Minerals Council, we are pleased to announce we will be holding a series of events throughout 2022 to advance the knowledge of collision avoidance and proximity detection systems and development relevant to the NSW mining industry.

The events will start with a Knowledge and Experience Hybrid Forum to be held on 22 March 2022 for practice leaders in collision avoidance to share their knowledge and experience with the industry.

Following this an online discussion board will be created to field questions from industry and provide further content to establish a common level of knowledge and understanding.

Finally, the Advancing Implementation Face-to-Face Forum will invite industry to workshop issues and barriers to implementation and develop a NSW mining industry collision avoidance strategy.

These events are aimed at:

  • open cut and underground mining industry leaders of collision avoidance development and implementation, within and external to the mining industry
  • leadership accountable for the implementation and development of collision avoidance technology
  • key personnel supporting the implementation and development of collision avoidance technology, including engineering staff, suppliers, and health and safety personnel.

Registration now open for first event

Registration is now open for the NSW Mining Collision Avoidance (Knowledge and Experience) Forum which will be held on 22 March 2022, 9:00am – 5:00pm, at Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley and online. Registration is free, however tickets are strictly limited so book early to avoid disappointment.

All events will be held in line with the NSW Government COVID-19 Safety Plan for conferences, functions and corporate events.

Further details about the online discussion board and Advancing Implementation Face-to-Face Forum will be released in the coming months.
